I hope you are OK.

Let’s check in on each other more.  Sometimes we say we’re OK, when we actually aren’t. We live right next to each other, but sometimes we feel miles apart. You might be dealing with a lot that I know nothing about.  And when we don’t know each other, when we don’t care about each other, we are quicker to see each other as a threat.  Especially when life gets hard. When things get hard, we might see each other as threats, as enemies.  This concerns me.  Because as your neighbor, I want you to be well.  I want US to be well.  Together.

WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE.  WE NEED EACH OTHER.

WHEN WE DON’T KNOW EACH OTHER, WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER AS THE ENEMY.

BUT I WANT TO KNOW YOU.  I WANT TO SEE YOUR FULL HUMANITY, AND HOW MY HUMANITY IS CONNECTED TO YOURS.  YOU ARE NO STRANGER.  YOU ARE MY BELOVED NEIGHBOR.  LET’S GROW A WORLD OF NO MORE STRANGERS.  ALL NEIGHBORS.
