–THE HISTORY–
In 1991, 15-year-old Latasha Harlins was shot and killed by Korean store-owner Soon Ja Du after Latasha was accused of stealing a bottle of orange juice. After all these decades, have our Korean and Black communities fully healed?  Have we had space to deeply hold and understand each other's human experience?

the WE GOT THE JUICE collection to invite our communities to come together as one and heal more fully // 
and continue the journey towards deeper healing.
 
In order to more fully heal, we continue to acknowledge this past pain between our communities, understand the roots that caused it, and move forward in deeper love and understanding for each other. 
 
We must realize separateness is a lie.
We must see each other's humanity.
We must take care of each other.
We must invest in each other.
And we won't stop until
we ALL GOT THE JUICE.

LATASHA HARLINS FOUNDATION and funds their scholarship program for students.

is an organization established to give back to the community where Latasha grew up in, working to bring funding + resources to the community and help students succeed in college and beyond.
